A fun experience for a cat lovers.
The cafe has a vintage design concept and is divided into two separate areas: the cat area connected to the restaurant. There is a THB 100 fee to access the cat room, but if you order anything from THB 150, you get free entry and free WIFI! The cakes and drinks are also reasonably priced. We ordered lemon green soda, and it was good and refreshing for such a hot day.
The House Rules
Before we entered the cat area, B Cat Cafe staff introduced us their “house rules”. Mostly to make sure the customer knows how to keep the place as clean as possible and how to interact with the cats. It’s good for the cats as well as for the customer safety.
Here are some of the basic rules they ask you to follow:
– Take off your shoes before entering the cat area
– Wash your hands (even you think you are clean, it’s not enough for the cat!)
– Don’t pull the tail or anything that you can pull from the cat body
– Don’t wake up the cats
– Don’t hold, carry or lift them unless you are their mother
– Don’t use flash when taking photos
– Don’t feed them any food or drinks
– Don’t touch the cats when they’re eating or drinking
– Don’t shout or jump in the café
The restaurant was not busy during the day, there were just a few tourists enjoyed the cats which were good in a way that we could walk around to take photos easily. We went to the cat area and chose the table with the natural light from the window as we wanted to get good photos. Once we got our drink, one of the Scottish Fold cats jumped straight on the table and looked at our green soda. We said to him, “Sorry dude, it’s not for you”. He had lovely mixed colors, fluffy hair, and beautiful orange eyes.
Another cat came after, he had black and white colors and one of the fangs outside his mouth. It really grabbed our attention as we had never seen it, he was cute. Both were adorable and friendly, we enjoyed playing with them; however, we couldn’t remember their name. The owner said that they have 15 cats altogether of various breeds such as Persians, Scottish Fold, Siamese and American Shorthair. The cats were gentle and friendly.
There were also plenty of cat toys and accessories everywhere. B Cat Cafe also sells many different products, such as mugs, collars, and T-shirts.
If you plan to spend a day in Phuket town and you too are cat lovers, let’s go have some fun with them!
